Housing

Delray Beach and its surrounding neighborhoods include a wide variety of alternatives to own or rent a home. Some of Delray’s most prominent neighborhoods include:

The Beach Side:
Between Coastal Delray Beach, and the ocean front residential communities of Highland Beach, Gulflsream, Ocean Ridge and Manalapan, there is a tremendous variety of housing options. Ocean front views, deep water access docks, exclusive golf course access, and the privacy of gated communities are a just a few. Coastal living alternatives are plentiful in and around Delray Beach.

Downtown & Midtown:

Downtown Delray Beach housing alternatives include uniquely designed apartment buildings, town homes, historic homes, as well as contemporary loft-style condominiums. The ability to walk to restaurants, shopping, beaches and work is the main attraction to the downtown/midtown living environment.

Historic Neighborhoods:
Delray's six Historic Neighborhoods provide unique living alternatives around the Downtwon Business Core. Those with a passion and appreciation for Historic Preservation will find the opportunity to live in neighborhoods that are rich with the finest examples of historic architecture. In addition, property tax saving opportunities are available to those who choose to improve historic homes.

Lake Ida & Seacrest:

One of Delray's oldest neighborhoods, it is also one of its finest. Just north of Downtown, the Lake Ida and Seacrest neighborhoods are ideal for raising a familly. With abundant private and public school options, these two neighborhoods offer a wide range of housing options that vary from sophisticated elegance, to quaint, comfort, and affordability.

Suburban Style:
A wide variety of gated and non-gated communities surround the different business districts in Delray Beach. There are waterfront homes in Tropic Isles to the south, a top rated golf course in the Hamlet to the west, and a family enclave in Sabal Lakes to the north. Housing options in the suburban areas also range in price, as there are diverse options for first time home buyers as well as for those seeking sophistication and luxury.
