Higher Education Within 11 to 25 Miles

Palm Beach State College (PBSC)
13 miles to the north, PBSC enrolls more than 49,000 students in over 100 programs of study including bachelor of applied science, associate of arts and associate of science degree programs and short-term certificates. Among associate in science degrees, the nursing program has the highest enrollment and number of graduates. In August 2009, the college started its first baccalaureate program, a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Supervision & Management. Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA)
19 miles north of Downtown Delray Beach, PBA is a Christian University offering associate, bachelor and master degrees, and a doctor of pharmacy degrees. Founded in 1968, PBA majors include Arts, Biology, Communications, Education, Business and Computer Sciences, Cinema and Television, among many others. 20 miles from downtown Delray Beach, with direct access via the Florida Turnpike, The Broward College North Campus in Coconut Creek covers approximately 113 acres. Everest University's Pompano Beach Campus is within 20 miles of Downtown Delray Beach.  A private-for-profit University, Everest offers degrees on Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Science, Medical Assisting, and Pharmacy, among various others.
